Case Studies

Nordenhamer Zinkhutte GmbH, Germany

Zinc Producer

This Zinc producer planned until 2007 regular and costly shutdowns to clean its critical and hardly accessible areas. In 2008 the shockwave activities were first tested in the boiler of the installation. Because the composition of the input materials during operation differ strongly, the degree of contamination throughout the installation also fluctuates. This requires constant monitoring, followed by a flexible cleaning analysis and adaptive cleaning method. Due to close cooperation, no costly unplanned stops have occurred since the shockwave cleaning by Online Cleaning Technologies is being used.

Since 2013, Online Cleaning Technologies also commenced with safety cleaning on ash pits and cleaning of the waste-heat boiler. This cleaning takes place exclusively in reduced operation mode, this results in substantial gains of operating time for the operator of the Zinc producer.
